C & Z Purlin

Purlin

Roof purlins are cold formed Z profiles, with depth of 150, 203 or 230 mm and thickness 1.5, 2 or 2.5 mm.These are fixed to the top flanges of the rafters by means of clips bolted to the rafters , and the purlin web bolted to the clips. Purlins ends clicklap to act as continuous beams.

Wall Girts

Wall girts are cold formed Z sections, with depth of 150,203 or 254 mm and thickness 1.5,2 or 2.5 mm. These are fixed to the outer flange of the sidewall columns.

These are two types of fixations:

  • Fixed to the outer flange of the side wall columns by means of clips bolted to the column and girt web bolted to the clips. Overlap connections are provided for continuous beam action.
  • End wall girts and flush girts on side walls are normally flushed to the outer flange of the columns by means of clips which are bolted to the column web and girt web bolted to the clips.

Material : CR Steel as per IS : 513/HR Steel as per IS:1079
Yield Strength : 254 MPa to 345 MPA
Type : Bare, Primer coated, Galvanized hot rolled coil are degreased, hosphated and then primer finished with zinc chromate red oxide Pain-matching test requirement of IS:4777 and IS:2074. Special treatment to combat severe atmospheric corrosion can be offered. We also offer purlins in galvanized coated steel in 120 GSW/AZ 150GSM / coating as per customer requirement.
